Allister (Allie) Jenkins-Bennett is in his second year at Mount Royal, and he wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. He’s enrolled in the Business and Entrepreneurship- Sport and Recreation program and hopes to enter law school when he’s finished. Allister is a small town boy, from Golden, B.C., who loves sports and travel. He is a diehard Philadelphia Flyers fan (his apologies to all of the Flames fan out there). Allister is looking forward to a productive year on campus and he hopes to see you around.
Lexy Shaw is in her first year of the Child Studies applied degree program. She was previously in the Early Childhood Education program at Durham College In Oshawa, Ontario. Lexy recently moved here from Whitby, Ontario. This is her first time in Calgary and she really likes the city so far. Lexy joined Students’ Council to meet new people and to help be a voice for students. After this program, she’d like to travel the world to teach English, and help be an advocate for mistreated children. Feel free to contact her at anytime with questions
or concerns.
Matthew Koczkur is a traveler on the path of knowledge. Seeking opportunities to expand his scope of experience and understanding, he joined the SAMRC Students’ Council. Matt is entering the last year (ceteris paribus) of academic study in MRC’s Applied Degree of Policy Studies, with aspirations of entering into graduate studies in a currently undetermined field. Working as an activist for social justice has taught Matt the power of collective action. Through this, Matt intends to raise the profile of students’ issues within the context of Canada’s governmental framework while working within the College to further strengthen our campus community.

Rob Cooper is in his second year at Mount Royal, in the Bachelor of Commerce transfer program. Rob is excited about serving in this position for a second year, and hopes that it will once again be a highly productive year. Rob was born and raised here in Calgary and, although he went to school in Edmonton for a couple of years, it doesn’t seem to have done any permanent damage. Rob worked full time for 10 years prior to returning to school, but he loves being a student, so here he is ... studying hard and working for you.
Irfaan is very excited to be back on Students’ Council this year as your Science and Technology Rep, and to have the privilege to work with awesome council members and a great executive. Irfaan knows that Council will do its best to make sure that your school experience at Mount Royal is one of the best for years to come. Feel free to contact him via email sciandtech@samrc.com, drop him a letter mailbox #6 in the SA office, or hunt him down in the halls with any questions or comments you may have.
Lynne Fulton was recently appointed to her position. She is in her second year at MRC and is working towards her BSc with a plan to major in Zoology at university. Lynne first came to MRC right after high school and took the Massage Therapy program. After that, she kept busy in the workforce, but soon discovered her passion for learning. Lynn is very easygoing and a great listener so, if you have a question or just want to say hi, go for it! Lynn also enjoys relaxing, and likes to sing bad karaoke. If you’re around on Wednesday nights, you might find her in the Lib destroying a great song and having fun, so stop in and sing a little.
Enia Mazzitti recently moved to Calgary from Ontario and is attending MRC to obtain an applied degree in the Child Studies program. Enia anticipates a great year filled with challenges and great achievements for MRC’s student body. Please feel free to approach her with any great ideas

Alexandra Merkley is a fourth year Bachelor of Nursing student. In addition to being a member of last year’s Academic Caucus, Alexandra has volunteered many hours in the various student centres and for services provided by the Students’ Association, so it’s safe to say that she is no stranger to the SA! When she’s not studying, doing homework, or volunteering, Alexandra can be found out with her horse, training horses, playing soccer, writing poetry, baking, or playing
the guitar.
