Candidate for VP Academic | ||||
ERIN LUDWIG I believe that Mount Royal College needs someone who will fight for students’ academic freedom. I have worked extensively
this past year at Mount Royal College and the University of Calgary familiarizing myself with the appeals and grievance policies. I
have also worked on many student appeals and grievances in the roles of student advocate and grievance committee member.
From my experiences I believe changes can be made at Mount Royal College that would give you, the student, the academic
freedom that you need to continue your academic success. I believe that there is a need for a campus ombudsperson, a need to
continue to advocate for changes to be made to appeal and grievance policies and a need for clear policies on work terms, co-op
programs, practicum, and clinical courses. I am prepared to do my best to meet these needs. I want to ensure that you have the
tools you need for self-empowerment. If you want someone who is hardworking and determined,
knowledgeable with student appeals and grievances, and dedicated to student advocacy and empowerment, vote Erin Ludwig for
Academic Vice President.
