ELECTION PLATFORM:

Sometimes it’s easy to make platform promises, but hard to keep them. I only want to focus on one thing, and that is how important you, the student, are. Everyone comes to Mount Royal College for different reasons, the main focus being on getting an education, but so many things can throw us off track. Sometimes it’s because of personal reasons and other times it’s policies or procedures holding you back.

As the Vice-President, Academic, I want my position to be based around learning about all of you as individuals through personal communication. I don’t want to try and fit all of you into a cookie cutter model and stamp out platform promises that will only allow a select few to excel. The needs of students change from day to day, from individual to individual. I don’t want to guess at what you need, I want you to tell me what is affecting you, and together we can come up with solutions.

By working together with students, faculty and administration, I will examine chronic problems that occur, as well as look forward and anticipate issues before they become problems.

So when you go to vote, don’t pick someone else based on their promises. Pick me because I will deliver.
