ELECTION PLATFORM:

If it needs to be done for tomorrow, it should have been done yesterday. This is not only sound advice, but it is a necessary lesson I have learned to live by in order to succeed as both a student and as a person. Now I use this phrase as a promise of dedication, efficiency, and forward thinking. I am dedicated to making college life beneficial, enjoyable, and free of discrimination for all Mount Royal students. Included in this statement is a variety of issues for which I stand. Foremost, I strongly believe in the official duties of the Academic Vice-President which includes appeals, grievances, and human rights. I am committed to help every and any student who feels either discriminated against or treated unfairly. I also believe that the issues of course variety and university transfer need attention. While Mount Royal is already considered among the best colleges in Canada, the addition of joint degree programs with other universities has created the need to expand the courses currently offered in certain faculties. I believe students should have input into what these new courses are, and I am willing to take that responsibility. In addition, considering the vast numbers of students within the college who plan to transfer to other institutions, I believe that keeping the options open for these students by making sure courses are transferable to institutions like the Universities of Calgary, Alberta and Lethbridge is of high priority.

Vote Gavin Wolch for VP, Academic.

Thank You.
