ELECTION
PLATFORM:
What would a student’s life be
without fun? You will never have to find out thanks to my
funification (no, it’s not a real word) project. It’s all
about putting the "u" back in fun. As your Vice-President,
Student Life, I will be everywhere doing everything, with one
thing in mind – you. I will give you ownership of your Mount
Royal experience by providing you with opportunities to get
involved. My own extensive involvement with the Students’
Association, college and community has given me the insight
that is needed to fulfil this position.
There are a few key goals
aside from the funification project that I have coming into
this position. I want to plan events that honour the diversity
of the college, build on and expand student services, foster a
positive working environment with clubs and societies, develop
student leaders, and continue the efforts to make Wyckham
House expansion a reality.
Each of us comes to college
with a different and unique background. I believe these
differences create a mosaic of culture. It is my personal goal
to make every student feel that Mount Royal is their own. I
want to make sure that there is something for everyone. I can
do this by promoting concerts in the Liberty, supporting club
and society initiatives, planning awareness weeks and, most
importantly, making sure that you know what is going on.
