My Bio
I am excited to be able to partake
in the adventure association with being Vice President
Academic. I have been at Mount Royal for two years and will be
entering into my third year in the Bachelor of Science
program. I plan to major in chemistry and pursue some kind of
a research stream.
I am involved in the sport of
fencing and also have plans to advance in the sport in the
future.
I was previously involved in
student’s association as a commissioner and enjoyed it .
Myself and my colleagues plan to
serve students to help them succeed with high quality
services, leadership, advocacy and support. We are open to any
concerns, suggestions or comments students have.
I look forward to working with and
for the students of Mount Royal College throughout the
2008-2009 year.
How can I help you?
Academic Appeals & Grievances: My position involves helping you understand College policies
including grade appeals and grievances, the Code of Student
Conduct, and disqualifications. I’m here to help you
understand the process, let you know who to talk to and give
advice. I’m also here to help you understand your rights and
responsibilities as a student here at Mount Royal College.
Academic Council: I sit on over 20 committees within the College. I am the
Student Academic Caucus leader which means I organize and
support the student reps on Academic Council, a recommending
body to the Board of Governors on academic issues.
Membership Development Fund: Additionally, I am the chair of the Membership Development
Fund Committee, which distributes up to $11,000 annually to
students pursuing professional development outside of the
College setting. These funds are accessible by all MRC credit
students.
If you have any questions
regarding SAMRC or any academic
issues, please do not hesitate to contact me in the Wyckham
House Student Center (Z201, second floor).
Thanks,
and have a great year! |
