Matt Koczkur is a senior
student in MRC’s Bachelor of Applied Policy Studies. His focus
in policy, however, does not eclipse his broader interests in
Philosophy and Eastern Religious Studies. As a traveller on
the path of knowledge, Matt has sought opportunities to expand
his scope of experience and understanding, which has led to
his past involvement with the Students’ Association, the
College’s Academic Council and the broader social justice
movement.
Utilizing the knowledge and
skills gained through his past experiences, Matt intends to
raise the profile of students’ issues within the context of
Canada’s governmental framework while working within the
College to further strengthen our campus community. His goals
for the year include: advocating for further revision of the
Canada and Alberta Student Loan Programs, establishing a
Calgary Caucus to tackle issues from a municipal perspective
and, collaborating with the Executive Committee, and all other
interested parties, to launch a sustainability campaign for
implementation within the Student’s Association and the
College.
