Students have owned and operated
various services and spaces at MRC since 1965.
In 1987, these services and spaces were
consolidated into a new building named Wyckham
House. The student centre was named after Robert
Wyckham, a forward-thinking business professor
who assisted student executives in making
student government better.
Wyckham House underwent some
major renovations in 1999, adding a Native
Student Centre, more meeting rooms and expanding
the Liberty Lounge. The SA continues to grow,
adding services to meet the need of students
today.
To meet the needs of a growing
student population, Wyckham House is expanding
in the next two years, adding almost 45% more
space for necessary student services. Our vision
is to be the vibrant hub on campus. |
