The Students’ Association of Mount Royal University (SAMRU) believes the ultimate goal of all Mount Royal
University students is academic success and personal achievement. The Association understands the importance of recognizing and honouring the non-academic and extra-curricular contributions of MRU students.
The E-Awards, which stand for Excellence, Enrichment and Endeavour, are presented at an annual awards ceremony hosted by the Students’ Association every spring. SAMRU has been honouring exceptional contributions from its members for 50 years now. The purpose of the E-Awards is to honour student achievement and leadership, and the dedication of instructors and staff at Mount Royal University.
The criteria for student nominations include a high level of commitment and contribution to the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University. Commitment to participation in campus activities, strong academic achievement and volunteer contributions to community organizations are also very important.
