The Students’ Association offers many different ways for you to get involved. You can get involved with the General Faculties Council, Executive Committee or Students’ Council.

General Faculties Council

The General Faculties Council (GFC) is the highest academic decision-making board on campus. It is a college committee that is on the same level as the Board of Directors. It makes decisions on issues such as which programs Mount Royal should offer, what their academic polices should contain, and other student and faculty related concerns. Executive Committee

Executive Committee (EC) is your voice and, under Students’ Council, they govern and guide the Association. Executives are elected by their peers, who are members of the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University(SAMRU). For more information visit the EC page

Students’ Council

Students’ Council is collectively the highest decision-making body of SAMRU. Students’ Council is a policy-making Board of Directors for the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University. As such, all Students’ Councillors have a clearly defined governance role that focuses on the organization as a whole.  For more information please visit the Council page
