Are you passionate about the environment and the sustainability movement? Are you organized, creative, and outgoing? The Sustainability Centre is looking for volunteers for some of the following projects:
Classroom presentations – give 3-5 minute presentations to update the campus community about sustainability initiatives and encourage involvement.
Organizing focus groups – facilitate group meetings to learn more about what staff, faculty and students value about campus sustainability.
Sustainability newsletter – share the word through a monthly online newsletter all about creative sustainability solutions, events, conferences and professional development opportunities. Sustainability blog – develop and maintain a Sustainability Centre blog to share information, research, and great tips with others who want to live more sustainably!
Are you passionate about the environment and the sustainability movement? Are you focused, knowledgeable and driven? The Sustainability Centre is looking for volunteers for some of the following projects:
Sustainability research – help provide valuable research for fun campaigns and events.
Recycling & composting campaign – lead a team to design and run a recycling and composting awareness campaigns or new pilot projects for MRU.
Sustainable living mentors – live a more sustainable lifestyle and inspire others to do the same!
ECO Leaders (MRU Residence program) – increase environmental awareness in MRU Residences.
SAMRU Sustainability Guide – research and help write a campus sustainability guide, in coordination with the Green Wyckham Committee, to promote the wonderful things happening in terms of sustainability on campus and services people can take advantage of.
Are you passionate about the environment and the sustainability movement? Are you community-minded and love diving into a new project? The Sustainability Centre is looking for volunteers for some of the following projects:
Campus sustainability tours – help lead small groups on campus tours to learn more about campus sustainability efforts.
Community Garden – lead the MRU Garden Committee in its expansion of the community garden for 2011, maintain the community garden, and harvest fresh and delicious food!
