Q: What is the benefit of consigning my books at
Copywrite?
A: More
money for you! As you are the one that sets the price, you have the
opportunity to make some major money once your books sell, and with our
new system, getting money back is faster than it ever was before.
Q: Why is my book not listed on the booklist?
A: The textbooks used each semester vary based on
the courses offered and the professors who teach them. If your book is
not listed, that textbook is most likely not being used, therefore we
cannot accept it for consignment. However, you may want to hold on to it
for a semester to see if it will be used again. Course packs created by
MRC will definitely not be allowed for resale due to copyright issues.
Q: Why is there is no new or used prices listed
for my book?
A: As we get our list from the College Bookstore,
there may not have been a price available when the list was made. As a
solution, you may want to come to the Copywrite to see what other
sellers have priced their book at to help with your pricing.
Q: My account states that a cheque has been
issued, but I have not received an e-mail. Can I still come pick it up?
A: Yes. As soon as the status has changed on your
system, a cheque is ready. We do send out e-mails right away, however
technology isn’t always perfect. Some e-mails get sent back due to
expired accounts, full mailboxes, internet problems, etc. You may also
want to check your junk mail to be sure the e-mail wasn’t misplaced in
there. But regardless, receiving the notification e-mail does not affect
the availability of your cheque.
Q: I want to pick up my textbook before it
expired but I am unavailable to make it down to the store. What can I
do?
A: Please contact the
. In most cases
we can hold the book(s) for a short amount of time until you are able to
pick it up.
Q: Can I change the price of my book or take it
off the shelf?
A: Yes. The book is yours until the consignment
contract ends. You can make any changes by coming to the Copywrite in
person. In most cases this will be done right away, however it may take
24-48 hours if we are busy.
Q: I have questions about my account. Who can I
contact?
A: Please send us an e-mail at

Copywrite. Unfortunately we cannot discuss contracts over the phone.
Q: I do not have the study guide and/or CD’s my
text came with when I bought it. Can I still consign?
A: Yes. In most cases we will accept the single
textbook or even the single study guide as there is still a demand for
these items.
Q: I have books that I no longer need or are unable
to resell. What can I do with them?
A: You can bring your books to Copywrite and we will
accept them as a donation. |
